Larry Warren Speaks On Behalf of United: For Change
"I'm not asking you for your money. I'm asking you for your life..."
-Larry Warren, President of African Leadership
Today, United: For Change had the pleasure of welcoming Larry Warren as guest speaker for Belmont's "Called To Change" convocation. Aside from being a walking inspiration to all he meets, Warren is the founder and President of African Leadership. His organization, a Christian education and development organization that works to train pastors and church leaders in Africa, alongside funding multiple other relief projects, makes a wonderful case for the fight against world poverty. Warren spoke of his personal experiences living in Africa, and the trials and tribulations he has pursued throughout the years to make sure his goal can be achieved. Warren not only spoke about the importance of faith in overcoming world poverty, but asked important questions of purpose that politely forced his audience to question what it was they were doing to help.
Through the teaming up of United: For Change and African Leadership, students were not only introduced to the ongoing problem of world poverty, but further influenced that the change resides within themselves. Warren's inspiration, mirrored by founder of United: For Change Josh Maisner's devotion, created an unstoppable power duo that really pushed the reality of world poverty and the belief that YOU can help put it to an end.
